WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Pratt Institute men's volleyball team opened their 2023 campaign falling on the wrong end of a pair of three-set decisions with King's College and Brooklyn College on Saturday afternoon at Scandlon Gymnasium.
The Cannoneers (0-2) fell in the opener to host King's (3-0) by set scores of 25-3, 25-6, 25-11 before succumbing to borough rivals Brooklyn (1-0) by scores of 25-19, 25-3, 25-19.
Jason Raymond paced the Cannoneer attack with 10 kills on the afternoon, also landing an ace. He put away a team-high eight kills in the finale with Brooklyn. Reid Brooks and Max Wang chipped in three kills each – Brooks distributing 13 assists to direct the offense and Wang anchoring the defense with 15 digs.
Pratt returns to Brooklyn for their home opener at the ARC on Tuesday, January 31 hosting Purchase College with a 7 p.m. first serve.
