WAYNE, N.J. – The Pratt Institute women's soccer team secured a key 1-1 road result with William Paterson University on Monday evening to extend their unbeaten streak to three games and remain above the .500 mark.
Siena Sujitno scored just six minutes into the contest capitalizing on a Pioneer (3-4-7) turnover with a one-touch shot from 25 yards out that found the upper 90 of the goal. Her league-leading 17th goal of the season, which also was the lone shot for the Cannoneers (5-4-1), would stand up for nearly the entire contest before the hosts found the equalizer in the 83rd minute on a Brianna De La Cruz goal.
William Paterson finished with a 24-1 edge in shots with Emma Gaspari making eight saves in goal.
The Pioneers are currently the third-highest rated team on Pratt's schedule according to the latest Massey Ratings, which also determines qualification and seeding for the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Championship.
Pratt has a day off before traveling to Albany, N.Y. to face Russell Sage College on Wednesday, October 18 at 7 p.m.
