ALBANY, N.Y. – The Pratt Institute women's soccer team lost for the first time in four games with a 7-1 defeat to Russell Sage College on Wednesday evening at the ACP Athletic Complex.
The Gators (7-4-3) raced out to a 4-0 lead by the 41st minute before Siena Sujitno scored the lone Cannoneer (5-5-1) goal just before the intermission in the 42nd minute. It was Sujitno's Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference-leading 18th goal of the season and her fourth straight game finding the back of the net – her second such streak of the season.
Sage pulled away with three more goals in the second half. The hosts held a 25-5 edge in shots. Annabella Russell registered three shots and Kat Thomsen also fired a shot on goal. Emma Gaspari made six saves in goal.
Pratt wraps up a three-game road stand traveling to future Atlantic East Conference rivals Centenary University on Saturday, October 21 for a 1 p.m. kickoff in Hackettstown, N.J.
