Centenary Spins Past Women’s Soccer

Emma Pratt scored the lone goal for the Cannoneers

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – The Pratt Institute was handed an 8-1 road loss by future Atlantic East Conference rival Centenary University on Saturday afternoon.

The Cyclones (5-8-1) scored three times in the opening eight minutes to build a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Emma Pratt put the Cannoneers (5-6-1) on the board in the 11th minute with her ninth goal of the season that cut the deficit to two. But Centenary would scored three more times in the half for a 6-1 lead at the intermission.

Pratt was unable to get many opportunities to get back into the game, held to three shots in the second half and the Cyclones scored a goal early in the frame and just before regulation. The Cyclones held a 27-11 shot advantage with Emma Gaspari making 10 saves.

Emma Pratt finished with a team-leading four shot attempts. Siena Sujitno saw her goal- and point-scoring streak stopped at four games.

Pratt celebrates Senior Day and hosts Medgar Evers College on Tuesday, October 24 at Randall's Island Field 10 kicking off at 8 p.m.
