BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Sophomore Kylie Grant scored a game-high 38 points, the Pratt Institute women's basketball team honored seniors Kinako Miyake and Victoria Liu and the Cannoneers concluded their 2022-23 campaign with a highly-contested 69-56 loss to Rosemont College on Friday night at the Activity Resource Center.
Grant dropped career numbers for the Cannoneers (1-23), scoring a huge 38-point, 13-rebound double-double – her 13th of the season and 24th straight game scoring in double figures. She shot a clutch 19-for-23 from the free-throw line and dished out three assists. Miyake chipped in eight points and three assists. Liu and Almudena Valenzuela also had 5 points apiece
The lead see-sawed 10 times throughout a close first half that saw the visitors lead 31-28, with Grant scoring 20 and one rebound shy of a double-double.
In the 3rd quarter, the game remained deadlocked at 40-all, the ninth tie of the contest, before Miyake picked up her fifth foul that allowed the Ravens to close out the final four minutes of quarter on a 16-4 spurt and maintained their lead for good.
Rosemont's (4-20) Angel Ricks had a 16-point 14 rebound double-double, and alongside her, Aalyssa Rogers had 19 points, five steals and four assists.
