Men’s Basketball Concludes Season in C2C Quarters to Salisbury

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. – The No. 6-seeded Pratt Institute men's basketball team saw their 2022-23 campaign come to a close with a 76-43 defeat to No. 3-seeded Salisbury University in the quarterfinals of the 2023 Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Championship on Thursday afternoon at Kaiser Permanente Arena.

Pratt was paced by All-C2C Second Team selections sophomore Cameron Hatcher and junior Patrick O'Gorman. Hatcher scored a game-high 15 points with six boards. O'Gorman tallied 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting with pairs of rebounds, assists and steals.

Junior Daniel Golub chipped in six points and grabbed as many boards.

Salisbury (12-14) was led by All-C2C First-Teamer Greg Bloodsworth who had 14 points and three triples. Kaiden Mines also had 14 points off the bench with four trifectas.

The Sea Gulls scored the first 12 points of the contest and stretched their lead to 25-8 at the midway point of the half before a 12-4 Cannoneer run brought the deficit back to single digits 29-20 at the under-8 media timeout. But the No. 3 seed scored the next 11 points out of the break to push the lead back to 20 and remained in control the rest of the way.

Pratt ends their season with a 5-21 record.
