BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The Pratt Institute men's volleyball team fell in straight sets (25-11, 25-16, 25-20) against neighboring Brooklyn College on Tuesday evening.
Devaun Longley put down four kills on .333 hitting to lead six different Cannoneers to record a kill. Max Wang added three kills and led the defense with 11 digs. Reid Brooks dished out 12 assists and added seven digs and two kills.
Zhao Ming Li led Brooklyn (4-3) with eight kills, most of which came during the first two sets.
The Cannoneers (0-6) started slow the first two sets, but came alive in the third. After falling behind 15-5, the black-and-gold pulled within one at 20-19.
Unfortunately, Wai Lin helped close out the match for the Bulldogs, finishing with five kills and a .714 attack percentage in the third set , being extremely efficient with every touch.
Despite the loss, Pratt managed 10 more points over the earlier meeting this season.
Pratt has a short layoff and returns to the ARC on Thursday, February 16th to host Yeshiva University at 7 p.m.
