BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Sophomore Cameron Hatcher scored a game-best 23 points as the Pratt Institute men's basketball team fell to Western New England, 87-44, on Thursday evening at the Activity Resource Center.
Hatcher crossed 20 points for the third time this season draining a career-high five three-pointers on 50 percent shooting from three-point land and 42 percent (9-of-21) overall. Lucas Zamboni followed with seven points and dished the ball well, handing out a season-high four assists. Daniel Golub and Ace Bibbs chipped in six points each.
The visitors jumped to an early eight-point lead in the first half and never looked back. They shot 53 percent (16-of-30) from the field in the first half and end the game shooting connecting at 60 percent (35-of-58).
Tim Restall led Western New England (17-5) with a 19-point, 10-rebound double-double. Brian Geitner added 13 points and Gavin Greene chipped in 12 to round out three in double-figures.
The Cannoneers (5-18) head upstate on Sunday, February 12th to face the Cazenovia College in a doubleheader with the women. Tip-off from Cazenovia will be at 3 p.m. following the women's game at 1 p.m.
