BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Max Wang had a team-high six kills but the Pratt Institute men's volleyball team suffered a straight-set defeat (25-20, 25-18, 25-22) to Wilson College in Colonial States Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon at the ARC.
Wang fell one kill shy of his season-best and hit .235 on the afternoon also bringing up nine digs. Jason Raymond added four kills and as many digs. Brooks Reid had three kills and was the only player on both sides to reach double-digit digs with 11.
Wilson (6-10, 3-0) never trailed in the match and was paced by Jacob McCoy who slammed 11 kills at a .474 clip. Demetrius Simmons and Xavier Webber had nine kills apiece. Jonathan Minnick handed out 35 assists.
Pratt (2-13, 0-3) threatened in the third set cutting an early 7-1 deficit to one at 17-16. The gold-and-black remained with two late at 23-21, but couldn't force an extra frame.
Pratt travels to Phoenixville, Pa. on Tuesday, March 21 to take on the University of Valley Forge in a CSAC contest starting at 7 p.m.
