BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The Pratt Institute women's basketball team played their first game of 2024 and dropped an 88-31 decision to visiting University of Maine at Fort Kent on Sunday afternoon at the Activities Resource Center.
Kylie Grant led all scorers with 26 points also pulling down 11 rebounds for a double-double – her sixth of the season. She drained four three-pointers and finished 10-for-16 at the charity stripe. Siena Sujitno chipped in three points and Heather Song added two points.
Maine Fort Kent (11-1) built an early lead and never looked back but the Cannoneers saw their best period in the second, winning the quarter, 15-14. The gold and black also kept it close in the fourth, dropping an 14-11 frame.
Kayla Stainthorp paced six Bengals scoring in double figures with 19 on 7-of-11 shooting with five triples.
Pratt returns to the ARC floor on Saturday, January 20 hosting SUNY Cobleskill at 1 p.m.
