BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Kylie Grant scored 16 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for her eighth double-double of the season, but the Pratt Institute women's basketball team couldn't silence the Five Towns Sound on Thursday evening at the Activities Resource Center.
Grant did most her scoring from the charity stripe finishing 12-of-16 and also dished out two assists. After logging her first double-digit scoring game, Olivia Julich also secured 10 caroms for her first double-digit rebounding effort and added four points, three steals and three blocks.
Seirra Cummings chipped in four points and two assists, Siena Sujitno added three points, and Audrey Richmond contributed a pair.
Five Towns (7-5) used a stifling pressure defense for the majority of the contest to limit the Cannoneers to six field goals. Talaya Gurantes led all scorers with 23 points before fouling out.
Pratt travels to New Jersey on Monday, January 29 facing Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham in a 6 p.m. showdown.
