BRONX, N.Y. – Senior Patrick O'Gorman scored a game-high 20 points and all 10 Cannoneers to see action contributed to the final ledger, but the Pratt Institute men's basketball team was left seeking their first win of 2024 with an 87-56 setback on Monday night at The APEX.
O'Gorman shot 7-of-15 from the field and 4-of-8 from three-point land to lead all scorers. First-year Jaden Young added 14 points with six rebounds to join him in double-figure scoring. Justin Caver chipped in six points and Seth Bratcher pulled down a game-best nine rebounds.
Pratt (6-8) took an early 5-2 lead after a Young triple followed by an Ace Bibbs steal and layup, but Lehman (7-6) scored 14 unanswered and expanded their lead to 39-20 at the break.
Despite seeing contributions from all 10 players, the black-and-gold couldn't keep pace with the Lightning's nearly 50 percent shooting effort (34-for-69) for the contest to try to cut into the deficit.
Kai Paris paced Lehman with 15 points and seven rebounds and Jayden Stephens added 11 points.
Pratt returns to their home floor at the ARC on Wednesday, January 10 and welcomes the United States Merchant Marine Academy for a 7 p.m. tip-off.
