BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The Pratt Institute women's tennis team captured a 7-0 non-conference victory over borough rivals Brooklyn College on Friday afternoon.
Kayla Abraham and Siya Sawhney were unblemished on the day as they teamed up for a 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles and both were victorious 8-0 in their No. 1 and No. 2 singles matches.
Victoria Delgado and Julia Ognibene also took a 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles with Ognibene prevailing 8-2 at No. 4 singles and Delgado securing the singles point in a walkover.
Alice Li and Victoria Hatala secured a 4-1 triumph at No. 3 doubles with Li taking her No. 5 singles match 8-6 and Hatala winning at love at No. 6 singles.
Pratt (4-1) continues a busy weekend hosting Marywood University tomorrow for a non-conference match starting at noon at the USTA National Tennis Center.
