QUEENS, N.Y. — The Pratt Institute women's soccer team suffered a 4-0 defeat to Marymount University in Atlantic East Conference action on Saturday morning at Queens College.
Marymount (4-8-2, 2-0) – the defending league champions and preseason favorites – scored five minutes into the contest off a goal from Nicole Alvarado putting in a rebound from close range. The visitors scored a pair in each half with Breanna Harkins finding the back of the net in the 15th and 58th minutes and Sophia Diggs capping off the scoring in the 73rd.
Pratt (3-8, 0-2) was limited to four shots on the day with Emma Pratt firing a pair and Kat Thomsen and Anna Wilson accounting for the other two. Emma Gaspari made nine saves while facing 25 Marymount shots.
The Cannoneers welcome Neumann University for an Atlantic East showdown on Wednesday, October 16 kicking off at 2 p.m. at Aviator Sports and Events Center.
