BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Senior midfielder Emma Pratt (North Attleboro, Mass.) and senior midfielder/defender Annabella Russell (Pacific Palisades, Calif.) each recorded hat tricks as the Pratt Institute women's soccer team defeated Saint Elizabeth University 11-0 in the first round of the 2026 Atlantic East Conference Championship on Saturday at Floyd Bennett Sports Complex.
The victory sends third-seeded Pratt (9-5-0) into the conference semifinals for the first time in program history.
First-year defender Penelope Figueroa-Ray (St. Paul, Minn.) opened the scoring just 59 seconds into the match, converting a short pass from junior defender/forward Kemi Ayeni (Stockbridge, Ga.) for her first game-winning goal. Figueroa-Ray struck again just 78 seconds later in the 3rd minute, lifting a loose ball over the goalkeeper from the top of the six-yard box for an early 2-0 advantage.
Emma Pratt followed with her first goal in the 5th minute, finishing inside the left post off a feed from sophomore midfielder Juno Joshua (Middletown, Del.). Joshua pushed the margin to 4-0 in the 16th minute, one-touching home a cross from junior forward Kate Nolan (Perth, Australia).
Emma Pratt completed her first-half hat trick with tallies in the 20th and 32nd minutes, the latter coming on a breakaway feed from first-year midfielder Fiona Sutherland (Naperville, Ill.). Sophomore midfielder Esme Falk (Oakland, Calif.) volleyed home an assist from Nolan in the 41st minute, and Russell buried a loose ball off a failed clearance in the 45th minute to send the Cannoneers into the break ahead 8-0.
Russell added two more goals in the second half to complete her own hat trick, scoring off a pass from sophomore defender Lina Darcy (Newton, Mass.) in the 48th minute and converting a cross from first-year defender Kristina Sozashvili (Tbilisi, Georgia) in the 60th minute. Senior Savannah Depaz (Chapel Hill, N.C.), who started in goal before subbing into the field attack in the second half, capped the scoring in the 78th minute with her first collegiate goal off Nolan's third assist contest.
Depaz, junior Angelina Perez (Jamaica, N.Y.), and first-year Jazlin Del Castillo (Valley Stream, N.Y.) shared the shutout in net without facing a shot across 90 minutes.
For the Eagles, Danielle Fredo made six first-half saves in goal before Elizabeth Giamboy stopped 12 shots in the second half.
Pratt held a 50-0 advantage in total shots, including 29-0 on target, and earned all 11 corner kicks in the contest.
Pratt advances to the Atlantic East Championship semifinals to face second-seeded Immaculata University on Wednesday, Nov. 4. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. in Immaculata, Pa.
