BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The Pratt Institute men's soccer team concluded their 2024 campaign with a 4-0 defeat to Marywood University in an Atlantic Eat Conference match on Saturday afternoon at Aviator Field.
The Cannoneers honored four-year members of the squad Carter Tillman and Diego Piña prior to the game.
Despite a 12-1 shot edge for the visitors, the sides went into the lockers deadlocked at 0-0. The game remained tied for nearly 20 minutes into the second half before the Cannoneers conceded a penalty. Tillman was up to the challenge stopping the penalty kick from Danny Gomez, but Gomez put back in the rebound for what would stand as the deciding goal.
It remained a 1-0 affair until the 80th minute, but the Pacers found the back of the net three times in the final 10 minutes to pull away for the victory.
Marywood (6-7-3, 2-2-1) finished with a 21-2 shot discrepancy and 10-1 in corners. Tillman finished with seven saves in his final collegiate game.
Pratt (2-11-3, 1-5-0) ends their inaugural season in the Atlantic East Conference in sixth place.
