BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The Pratt Institute men's basketball team met another borough rival on opening weekend traveling to Downtown Brooklyn to face Long Island University, but the Division I foes handed the Cannoneers a 102-42 defeat on Saturday afternoon.
Cameron Windt led 10 different Cannoneers (0-2) to contribute to the box score with eight points and three assists. Ace Bibbs and Brandon Nunez followed with six points each, Bibbs grabbing four boards and Nunez going 2-for-2 from three-point land. Matias Alkemade and Quinn McCormick chipped in five points each, Alkemade grabbing a team-high five rebounds and McCormick nabbing a pair of caroms.
LIU (1-1) placed five players in double-figures led by Jamal Fuller's 19 points. The Sharks opened on a 7-0 run and never trailed shooting 51 percent (38-of-74) for the contest.
Pratt heads to Manhattan to close a three-game road stand to open the season facing Hunter College in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday, November 13 tipping at 7 p.m.
