Men’s Basketball Stumbles at Medgar Evers

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The Pratt Institute men's basketball team fell on the road to borough rivals Medgar Evers College, 70-49, in non-conference play on Monday evening.

Cameron Windt paced Pratt (0-8) with 10 points, nailing three triples and dishing out two assists. Ace Bibbs added a near double-double with eight points and nine boards. Mekhi Davis and Justin Caver chipped in seven points each, with Davis grabbing six rebounds and Caver pulling down five with a pair of assists and steals.

Pratt held the lead from the start after an administrative technical assessed to the hosts and built as large as a seven-point separation, 12-5, just four minutes in .But Medgar Evers (1-6) took the lead with a 19-4 run and closed out the final five minutes on a 10-0 run for a 38-20 advantage headed into the lockers and the Cannoneers couldn't bring the deficit back to single digits in the second.

Andre Evans Jr. led all players and three Cougars in double figures with 14 points.

Pratt returns to the ARC to resume a stretch of three games in six days, welcoming the University of Mount Saint Vincent on Thursday, December 5, fo a 7 p.m. non-conference showdown.
