BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The Pratt Institute men's volleyball team dropped both ends of their home tri-match falling in four sets to the University of Mount Saint Vincent, (25-19, 30-28, 19-25, 25-19), and in three sets to King's College, (25-16, 25-9, 25-16), on Sunday afternoon at the Activities Resource Center.

Mount Saint Vincent (1-1) led from start to finish in the opening set before the Cannoneers battled back in the second set. The Dolphins crept out to a five-point lead on two different occasions and led a 20-15 but Pratt used an 8-2 run to take the lead and held four set points, but couldn't level the match as UMSV took a two-set lead with a 30-28 triumph.

After dropping a tight second set, Pratt got on the board in the third using  a 6-2 spurt to build a 19-14 lead and remained firmly in control to force a fourth set. In the fourth, the gold-and-black remained close and tried to extend the match to five, but UMSV pulled away at the 16-15 mark closing out the match on a 9-3 run.

Kevin Erhand led Mount Saint Vincent with 20 kills on .368 hitting with 15 digs. James Rose added 11 kills and eight digs.
