PURCHASE, N.Y. — Junior Kylie Grant posted game-highs in points and rebounds as the Pratt Institute women's basketball team saw their 2023-24 campaign come to a close with a 68-34 defeat to Purchase College on Saturday afternoon.
Grant registered her 12th double-double of the season with 20 points and 14 rebounds to go along with three assists and a pair of steals. Almudena Valenzuela had seven points with two rebounds, two assists and two thefts. Heather Song chipped in five points and Mia Wong added two points.
Kaylena Phagnasay led three Panthers scoring in double figures with 15 points and Jessica McHugh (13 points, 12 rebounds) and Kendall Larsen (10 points, 11 rebounds) each contributed a double-double.
Purchase (3-22) led 37-10 at the intermission before Grant scored nine points in the third and Valenzuela added five to lead a 16-15 third quarter in favor of the Cannoneers.
Named to the All-C2C First Team earlier in the week, Grant heads into her senior season with 1,048 points. Pratt ends their season at 0-18 overall and will begin play in the Atlantic East Conference in the 2024-25 academic year.
