BRONX, N.Y. — The Pratt Institute men's tennis team cruised to a 7-0 non-conference victory over Lehman College on Friday afternoon. With the victory – their second in as many days – Pratt improves to 4-4 on the season and moves back to level .500.
The Cannoneers won all three doubles matches at love with Nathan Park and John Cherry at No. 1, Caleb Callahan and Johnny Xie at No. 2, and Brian Duval and Saddqa Bahidrah at No. 3 each bypassing their opponents, 6-0.
Pratt continued to roll in the singles session winning two matches at love and two dropping just one game.
Xie and Davyen Garret both scored 6-0, 6-0 victories at No. 4 and No. 6 singles. Park collected a 6-1, 6-0 win in the lead match and Bahdirah won 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 5 position.
Cherry defeated his opponent at No. 2, 6-0, 6-2 and Callahan recorded a 6-4, 6-1 victory in the No. 3 spot.
Pratt opens Atlantic East Conference play on Saturday, March 22 hosting Neumann University at the USTA National Tennis Center starting at 12 p.m.
