BROOKLYN, N.Y. — On a day celebrating its senior class and in front of a large contingent for Alumni Day, the Pratt Institute men's basketball team fell to Immaculata University, 84-79, in the season finale on Saturday afternoon at the Activity Resource Center. All three of Pratt's seniors—Sebastian Roda (Greenwich, Conn.), Mekhi Davis (Brooklyn, N.Y.), and Cameron Hatcher (Cincinnati, Ohio)—scored in double figures.
Pratt (12-13, 4-10 Atlantic East) honored its seniors in a pregame ceremony before battling the visiting Mighty Macs. The Cannoneers got off to a slow start as Immaculata (5-20, 4-10 Atlantic East) scored the first 11 points of the contest and built a 17-point advantage before Pratt shrank the deficit to 37-32 headed into the lockers, with Roda and Davis leading the charge with a combined 19 points.
The Cannoneers kept the Mighty Macs within reach throughout the second stanza, but couldn't close the gap as both teams connected at over a 50 percent clip in the period. Pratt made a late surge in the final minute halving an 11-point deficit to five on a Davis breakaway dunk, but ran out of time.
Roda led the senior trio with 13 points, hitting three triples and grabbing three boards. Davis recorded his second career double-double, finishing with 11 points and a career-high-tying 10 rebounds. Hatcher also chipped in 11 points and six boards.
Thomas Graetz (Sydney, Australia) added 12 points, and first-year Kurt Thomas (Dallas, Texas) scored 11 points and grabed six rebounds to round out three in double figures.
Immaculata was paced by 12 points from Dylan Crews. Domenic Vacchiano posted a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Pratt wraps up the season at 12-13, a 10-win improvement over last season, and their first double-digit win campaign since the 2019-20 season. The Cannoneers also doubled their conference win total over last year and finishes in seventh place.
