QUEENS -- Visiting Pratt Institute dropped an 80-46 decision at Vaughn College on Thursday, falling to 3-6 on the year.
Forward Aaron Nininger snagged a career-high 10 rebounds in the loss, while Ari Grant led all players with 19 points and a game-high five blocks to go along with eight rebounds.
After Vaughn opened the game on a 7-0 run, a Grant layup pulled Pratt to within 9-7 midway through the first half. A pair of Matthew Valentine free throws cut the margin to 15-10 at the 6:30 mark, but an 11-1 Warriors run over the next 2:15 opened up a 26-11 lead in putting Vaughn on top 37-23 at halftime.
Four Sam Peterson's game-high eight free throws in the first four minutes of the second half twice cut the margin to 12, but Pratt couldn't reduce the deficit to single digits, and Pratt shot only 27 percent in the second half as the Warriors rolled.
Rashad Luckett led the Warriors with 18 points and a game-high five steals, and Eric McDonald led all players with 12 rebounds in only 14 minutes off the bench as Vaughn improved to 9-7.
Pratt returns to the floor on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at RISD.
