BROOKLYN -- Guards Sophie Erb and Maria Castillo scored seven each, but Pratt fell 88-14 to Yeshiva University in Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play Tuesday night.
For the Maccabees, Rachel Mirsky led all scorers with 21 points on 9-13 shooting, and Simee Rosner added 16 points on 8-13 from the floor. Simee Rosner added 16 points, eight rebounds and eight assists as Yeshiva improved to 3-11 (2-2 HVIAC).
A long Erb three-pointer from just to the right of the top of the key opened the night by giving Pratt a 3-2 lead at the 19:15 mark of the first. The Macabees responded by scoring 29 of the next 30 points, with a Castillo layup breaking the momentum and bringing Pratt to within 31-7. Yeshiva ended the half on a 14-2 run, going into the intermission leading 45-9.
After shooting 51 percent in the first half, the Macabees shot 56 percent (20-36) from the floor in the second. Castillo knocked home a three-point play on a jumper off the glass in the final minute, as Yeshiva went on to win 88-14.
Pratt returns to play on Thursday against Berkeley.
