Four Cannoneers log double-doubles in 89-30 rout of Sarah Lawrence

BRONXVILLE, NY – Pratt Institute outscored host Sarah Lawrence College 50-11 after mounting a 39-19 halftime lead in the Cannoneers 89-30 non-conference victory over the Gryphons Friday night on Homecoming at Noyes Court.

Pratt senior Anna Bryce led all players with 24 points to go along with 14 rebounds, while Idalia Kaplan totaled career highs of 16 points and 15 boards. Fellow freshman Emily Guerra also notched a double-double with 16 points on 6-11 shooting and 13 rebounds in 25 minutes off the bench.

Pratt scored the first seven points of the night, with AimeeLyn Miller's first of a career-high four three-pointers making the lead 5-0 a minute into the contest. The sophomore led all players with six points on 2-5 shooting from deep, as the Cannoneers led 15-7 after the first. Back-to-back Miller trey's capped a 12-3 Pratt run to open the second, and after a 7-0 Gryphons run fueled by five straight points by Emmamazy Prior, the Cannoneers answered with a 9-0 run, seven by Bryce.

With 19 seconds left in the frame, a Guerra three-point play sent Pratt into intermission leading 39-19.

A Prior jumper out of halftime trimmed the lead to 18 but briefly, but consecutive Guerra jumpers propelled a 23-0 run spanning 4:35 of the third quarter, opening up a 70-25 lead in the 89-30 win.

Center Amissa Epperson chipped in with a double-double of 10 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks. The win brings Pratt to within a game of .500 at 2-3. The team's 89 points is a program record.

For Sarah Lawrence, Prior led the team with 15 points. 

Pratt returns home to take on Cooper Union on Friday at 8:00 p.m.
