NEW YORK -- The Cannoneers tied a program record with the team's 10th win of the season, improving to 10-4 with a 3-2 win at Cooper Union on Saturday.
As he did in the teams' first meeting on March 5, at 3-1 Pratt win in Brooklyn, outside hitter David Cutler led the Cannoneers with37 kills and 50 digs. Sophomore setter Brandon Ryan dished out a team-high 40 assists as Pratt won for its sixth time in seven matches.
Senior Matthew Valentine added 12 kills in the win. Will Wong chipped in with 28 digs, and Andreas Haji-Georgi added 21.
Pratt previously defeated the Hawks 3-1 behind a monster effort of 26 kills and 28 digs from Cutler and 10 kills from Valentine.
The Cannoneers look to set a new program-high with an 11th win in the team's final match of the season on Thursday at Webb Institute. When the teams met on March 31, Cutler totaled 27 kills and 28 digs.
