NEW YORK, NY – The Pratt Institute men's basketball team dropped their Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) opener, 102-31, against the Knights of Berkeley College on Thursday evening.
The Knights improve to 11-1 (2-0 HVIAC) on the season, while Pratt drops to 4-7 (0-1 HVIAC).
Berkeley overall shot 64.7 percent (44-68) while limiting the Cannoneers to just 19.2 percent (10-52) from the field. The Knights outrebounded Pratt by a 45-28 margin and forced 31 turnovers defensively.
For the game, Pratt was led by junior Akil Philip, who had team-highs in points (10), rebounds (8), and steals (3) in 28 minutes. Tytus Millikan and Andrew Yaglenski finished with eight and seven points, respectively.
UP NEXT – The Cannoneers travel to Boston on Saturday, January 13 to a non-conference bout against the Falcons of Fisher College. A 3:00 pm tipoff is scheduled.
