DIX HILLS, NY - The Pratt Institute's women's volleyball team (15-5, 3-0 HVIAC) swept a tri-match in straight sets for its 9th and 10th straight wins on Sunday afternoon.
In the first match of the day, Pratt rolled past Penn State Scranton, 3-0 (25-11, 25-12, 25-8).
Sofia Salmoiraghi (Milan, Italy) led the way with seven kills and four aces.
Amy Jia (Farmington, CT) added 18 assists and five service aces.
Elizabeth Hannah (Tampa, FL) finished with eight kills and a block.
The match was well-rounded for Pratt, finishing with 40 kills, 37 assists, 30 digs and 17 aces.
Match two was equally dominated by the Cannoneers in straight sets, 25-15, 25-10, 25-17.
Shannon Corr (Copiague, NY) finished with game highs of eight kills, four aces and four blocks.
Deanna Colondona (Manorville, NY) added 20 digs while senior
Badesim Kubak (Istanbul, Turkey) finished with 16 assists.
Pratt finished with 46 digs, 35 kills and 29 assists.
The ten straight wins continues a season high streak and the longest win streak in the last eight years.
The Cannoneers look to make it 11 in a row on Friday when it hosts Cooper Union on senior day at 8 pm.
