BROOKLYN, NY - Head Cross Country and Track and Field coach,
Jessica Donohue has been named the American Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year on Friday.
Donohue, honored as the Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year, led Pratt to a second-place finish at the ACAA Cross Country Championships held October 26 in Oakland, California. The Cannoneers were three of the top nine runners at the meet, all of whom earned All-ACAA honors. Donohue also coached five All-ACAA honorees on the men's side.
In addition to the second place finish, Donohue led the Cannoneers to a victory at the Delaware Valley University Invite on September 21.
The award was voted on by her peers in the ACAA. David Klech of UC Santa Cruz earned the award on the men's side.
Donohue was thrilled to earn the award. "Being named coach of the year validates all of the hard work that went into this past cross country season. It means a lot to have all that went into planning and producing this season acknowledged by the conference. I am very appreciative of my peers in the ACAA for awarding me with this title."
