Pratt Women’s Soccer to Participate in United Soccer Coaches #PlayWithPride Initiative

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The Pratt's women's soccer program will show its support for athletes and coaches of all sexual orientations and gender identities on Saturday, September 21 when it hosts Valley Forge University at 12 pm as well as when it plays at Sarah Lawrence on Sunday, September 22 at 7 pm when it takes part in the United Soccer Coaches third annual #PlayWithPride week.

The Cannoneers, along with many other teams from around the country will be wearing rainbow shoelaces as part of #PlayWithProde week. This will be the third straight season the women's soccer program as participated in the initiative.

#PlayWithPride Week is an initiative developed by the association's LGBT Coaches and Allies Advocacy Group. Players and coaches across the country are encouraged to wear rainbow laces during matches and post on social media with the hashtag #PlayWithPride to promote their team's participation in Play with Pride Week.
