Men's Soccer Edged in Season Opener

MORRISTOWN, NJ - The Pratt Institute's men's soccer team (0-1) fell in its home opener at the College of Saint Elizabeth, 5-1 on Saturday afternoon.

The Eagles from Saint Elizabeth connected for two goals in the first half at the 10:20 and the 23:13 mark of the first half to take a 2-0 lead into halftime. 

Trailing 4-0 with 11 minutes remaining in regulation, Juan Gomez (Miami, FL./American Heritage) drilled a penalty kick for the first goal of the game fo the Cannoneers.

In goal, Carter Boliek (Fayetteville, NC/Fayetteville Academy) recording 10 saves in the first half and five more in the second half. 

Pratt returns to action on Sunday for its home opener against Penn State Hazelton at 1 pm at Aviator Sports Center.
