Men's Basketball Rolls to Third Straight Win

BROOKLYN, NY - The Pratt Institute's men's basketball team (8-7) rolled past Maine Fort Kent for its third straight win, 80-65 on Friday afternoon.

Griffin Levine (Dallas, TX) led the way with 19 points and five rebounds. King Turnbull (Houston, TX) finished with 18 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

Fresh off a career game, Patrick O'Gorman (Glen Ridge, NJ) added 16 points and four rebounds.

Trailing 12-11 six minutes into the game, the Cannoneers used an 8-2 run to take a 19-14 lead. Pratt continued to up the lead as it ran off six straight points over a two minute span to gain a 28-19 lead. The Cannoneers would outscore the Bengals 10-9 over the final five minutes to take a 38-28 lead into halftime.

The second half went back and forth before Maine Fort Kent used a 9-0 run with just under five minutes remaining in regulation to get within two. Over the remaining 4:50, the Cannoneers outscored Fort Kent 19-6 to pull away and win by 15.

Pratt knocked down 12 three pointers on 44% shooting. It also held the Bengals to just 31% from the floor and 22% from three.

The Cannoneers look for its third straight win on Monday when it hosts the College of Saint Elizabeth at the Barclays Center at 8:30 am.
