BROOKLYN, NY - The Pratt Institute's men's basketball team (13-9) rolled to a win over the Rhode Island School of Design, 89-52 on Sunday afternoon.
Freshman
Patrick O'Gorman (Glen Ridge, NJ) finished with 21 points and five steals.
King Turnbull (Houston, TX) added 14 points and 11 rebounds while
Griffin Levine (Dallas, TX) added 12 points and eight rebounds.
With the game tied at seven four minutes into the game, Pratt ran off a 13-0 run to open up a 20-7 lead. Leading 28-14 at the 11:32 mark, Pratt scored the next 13 points to blow the game open at 41-14.Â
Over the final 4:30 of the first half, Pratt outscored RISDÂ 16-4 to take a commanding 57-18 lead into the halftime break.
Pratt's lead grew to as many as 47 in the second half, the largest lead at any point in a game this season before taking the game by 37.
The Cannoneers finished the contest with 61 rebounds, 24 assists and 21 steals, all season highs. The 37 point margin of victory was also the largest of the season.
Pratt returns to action on Tuesday when it travels to Touro College for an 8 pm tip.
