Women's Tennis Edged by Manhattanville, 5-4

PURCHASE, NY - The Pratt Institute's women's tennis team (0-1) fell in a close match in its season opener, 5-4 at Manhattanville College on Tuesday afternoon.

Playing in her first career match at fourth singles, Julia Ognibene rolled to a two set sweep, 6-0, 6-0.  Pratt's remaining three points came via forfeit by Manhattanville.

Moria Cunningham fell in a hard fought three set match, 5-7, 7-5, 5-10.

Pratt returns to action on October 22 when it hosts Baruch College at the USTA.
