BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The Pratt Institute women's volleyball team hit a combined .361 with seven different Cannoneers recording a kill as they cruised past borough foes Medgar Evers College, 3-0 (25-8, 25-6, 25-11) on Saturday afternoon in the penultimate home game of the season at the Activities Resource Center.
Olivia Julich led all attackers with nine kills against just one miscue for a blistering .667 hitting percentage. Rose Moon logged seven kills and Emily Sontag and Alison Fagan chipped in six kills apiece.
The Cannoneers led nearly wire-to-wire in the match, trailing only once after dropping the first point of the third set. The defense also limited the visitors to just four kills for the match.
Pratt dominated from the service line landing 18 aces with Gabby Genduso serving up six aces and Sontag also landing four. Emma Leavey handed out 27 assists to direct the offense.
Pratt wraps up a four-match homestand on Wednesday, October 19 and will celebrate Senior Day welcoming City College of New York to the ARC for a 7 p.m. first serve.
