BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Eight different Cannoneers recorded a kill as the Pratt Institute (8-7) suffered a 3-1 setback (25-17, 20-25, 25-17, 25-16) to William Paterson University (8-10) at home on Thursday evening.
Olivia Julich paced the attack with eight kills, while Rose Moon and Anna Knoblach chipped in seven kills each. Gabby Genduso distributed 31 assists and Deanna Colondona led three with double-digit digs with 18.
After the Pioneers seized the opening set, Pratt won the final five points of the second stanza to level the match. The set featured 10 ties and four lead changes with Julich putting down five kills, including two in the set-ending run.
William Paterson hit a combined .274 with 22 kills to take sets three and four.
The visitors were led by Eliana Lamb's 13 kills and .303 hitting.
Pratt takes an 11-day break from competition and resumes a four-match homestand on Saturday, October 15, hosting Medgar Evers at 1 p.m.
