NEW YORK – The Pratt Institute men's soccer team (0-9-2) honored seniors Jack Ketteler and Chatrin Samanchuen but fell on the wrong end of a 2-0 decision against Clarks Summit University (5-4-2) on Saturday afternoon at Randall's Island Park.
The squads played to a scoreless deadlock for the first 44 minutes before CSU's Kingsley Okoi poked one past the Pratt keeper on a ball played into the box from the midfield.
The Cannoneers searched for the equalizer in the second half and limited the Defenders' scoring opportunities. The game remained 1-0 until a foul in the box in the 84th gave a penalty kick for the visitors which they converted for an insurance goal.
Theo Goldman fired two shots for Pratt and Bryan Hong-Dominguez, Spencer Giuliano, and Taewan Kim notched a shot apiece. Dimitrios Papagiannakopoulos made seven saves in defeat.
Pratt returns to the pitch on Monday, October 10 to host borough foe Medgar Evers College at Randall's Island Park Field 70 with a 4 p.m. kickoff.
