ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – Victoria Liu reached double figures for the first time in her career and Kylie Grant posted her fourth double-double of the season, but the Pratt Institute women's basketball team dropped a 71-45 road decision to Bard College on Sunday afternoon.
Liu drained two three-pointers en route to her season-high 10 points. Grant notched a 29-point, 11-rebound double-double, also swiping four steals. Kinako Miyake chipped in four points and dished out three assists.
Thalia Grandinetti posted a game-high 28 with nine rebounds to lead Bard (1-3). Mae Redmond added 15 points. The Raptors shot 47 percent for the contest with more than half of their scoring coming from inside the paint (38 points).
Pratt (0-6) limited turnovers to a season-best 13 miscues committed fewer turnovers than their opponent for the first time this season (13-to-18). After a low-scoring third quarter converting on one field goal, the Cannoneers shot 38 percent over the final 10 minutes to win the period (16-14).
Pratt returns to the hardwood after the Thanksgiving break at the Dr. Betty Shabazz Tournament hosted by Medgar Evers College. The Cannoneers face the host Cougars on Saturday, November 26th at 2 p.m.
