JAMAICA, N.Y. – Senior Kinako Miyake scored a career-high 18 points but the Pratt Institute women's basketball team suffered an 83-36 road defeat to York College on Wednesday evening in the second meeting of the two squads in five days.
Miyake finished shooting 7-pf-14 from the floor with four three-pointers, two rebounds and two steals. Sophomore Kylie Grant maintained her streak of scoring in double figures each game this season netting 10 points with four rebounds and a theft. Almudena Valenzuela chipped in five points and dished out a career-high five assists.
The Cardinals (3-2) were led by Mac-Dege Dessources' 27-point, 22-rebound double-double.
Pratt plays at home at the ARC for the first time in four weeks hosting Sarah Lawrence College tomorrow evening at 7:30 p.m.
