BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Behind sophomore Cameron Hatcher's career-high 29 points, the Pratt Institute men's basketball team prevailed at home over Sarah Lawrence College, 77-71, on Friday evening at the Activity Resource Center.
The game was a highly-contested battle that featured 12 ties and 13 lead changes and neither team building a double-digit lead. Pratt (3-7) assembled their first win streak of the season and their first since the 2019-20 campaign. The Cannoneers also secured their first win over Sarah Lawrence (1-7) in the last 10 meetings dating back to 2013.
Hatcher led all scorers after shooting 11-of-18 from the field and 4-for-6 from three-point land while also grabbing a team-high eight boards. Junior Patrick O'Gorman chipped in 18 points with three three-pointers, four assists and three rebounds. Junior Ace Bibbs rounded out the three in double figures with 14 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Sarah Lawrence was led by Braden Burman's 16 points with five rebounds. Justin DiFabio netted 14 in a reserve role.
Sarah Lawrence raced out to a 17-8 lead – their largest of the game – before the Pratt rattled off an 11-2 run powered by seven points from Van Trier to take their first lead, 19-17, at the 11:29 mark. It was a back-and-forth game until the intermission with eight ties and six lead changes and neither team ahead by three, but Pratt carried a 41-38 lead into the lockers, behind 16 points from Hatcher.
A Hatcher triple early in the second stretched the Cannoneer lead to six and the black-and-gold remained ahead until a 6-0 spurt put SLC up 52-51. The visitors would extend their lead to six, 59-53, at the 9:19 mark but Pratt would regain the lead, 63-62, on a Hatcher jumper with just over five minutes to play.
The squads traded the lead three more times before Hatcher scored four straight, which included a highlight breakaway dunk, and Pratt scored 10 unanswered and pulled away for the win. The visitors outshot Pratt in the second half, 40 to 34 percent, but were held without a field goal for nearly four minutes at the end of regulation.
Pratt swiped a season-high 13 steals and forced 21 turnovers, outscoring Sarah Lawrence in points off turnovers (23-17) and fast break points (17-6).
