BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Four Cannoneers scored in double figures against led by Ace Bibb's game-high-tying 18 points and the Pratt Institute men's basketball outscored Brooklyn College in the second half but dropped a 47-43 decision on Thursday night.
Bibbs shot an efficient 7-of-9 from the field to lead Pratt (3-9). Sophomore Cameron Hatcher turned in a double-double for the second-straight game, with 15 points, 11 rebounds and three steals. Junior Patrick O'Gorman flirted with a double-double with 14 points, nine dimes and three boards. First-year Sebastion Roda drained four three-pointers to chip in 14 off the bench with three boards, three assists and two steals.
Elisha Park led Brooklyn (2-8) with 18 points and 16 rebounds. Malik Dale added 17 points as a reserve.
Brooklyn opened a 14-3 lead to start the contest. Pratt cut a 14-point deficit down to four, 24-20, with seven minutes left in the half before the Bulldogs pulled away to a 40-27 lead at the intermission.
The Cannoneers faced as much as a 19-point deficit in the second half but kept battling until the final buzzer, scoring the hosts 47-43 in the final 20 minutes and shrinking the final deficit to nine.
Pratt saw their third-best shooting night of the season connecting on 42 percent (28-of-66) that included 10 three-pointers, but Brooklyn finished shooting 49 percent (27-of-55) with 14 triples on their home floor.
Pratt wraps up the first half of the schedule hosting Roanoke College on Saturday, December 10 at the ARC. Originally scheduled for 2 p.m. the game has been moved to a 1 p.m. tip-off.
