WAYNE, NJ - The Pratt Institute's women's tennis team (2-2) had a dominating first match of the spring, downing William Paterson 9-0 on Sunday afternoon.
The doubles team of
Sophie Bischoff and
Nastazja Cancellaro rolled to an 8-0 win at first doubles. Â
Carolina DePontes and
Julia Ognibene along with the team of
Moira Cunningham and Â
Nicole Delp earned 8-2 wins at second and third doubles, respectively.Â
Bischoff, Ognibene, and DePontes all earned 6-0, 6-0 wins in singles.
Cancellaro won 6-0, 6-1 and second singles while Cunningham took the victory at 5th singles, 6-2, 6-2.
The the six spot, playing in her first match,
Victoria Delgado earned the come from behind win, 4-6, 6-0, 10-1.
Pratt returns to action on April 7 when it hosts Manhattanville College at 7 pm at the USTA.
