BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The Pratt Institute men's volleyball team suffered a straight-set defeat (25-10, 25-21, 25-11) to John Jay College on Thursday evening at the Activity Resource Center.
Jason Raymond led Pratt (1-8) with four kills and nine digs. Devaun Longley and Akul Kasliwal chipped in a pair of kills each. Max Wong handed out four assists and served up the lone Cannoneer ace.
The Bloodhounds (8-5) were led by 11 kills and three aces from Logan Ramos and Jack Nugent followed with 10 kills.
Pratt had their strongest showing of the night in the second stanza shrinking a nine-point deficit at 15-6 down to one late in the frame, 21-20, before John Jay closed out the set winning four of the final five points.
Pratt travels to the Bronx to take on Lehman College on Saturday, March 4 in a noon tilt.
