BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The Pratt Instutute men's tennis team dropped their first match of the spring season and saw their three-game winning streak come to an end with an 8-1 defeat to borough foes Brooklyn College on Friday afternoon at the Roosevelt Courts.
Ryan Nelsen remained undefeated at singles play on the season and improved to 6-0 outlasting his opponent at No. 2 singles in a supertiebreaker, 6-4, 5-7, 1-0 (7).
Rudy Cole and Caleb Callahan both secured five games off their opponents in defeat – Cole falling 6-1, 6-4 at No. 3 singles and Callahan 6-4, 6-1 at at No. 4 singles.
Tomorrow's match at Bard College has been canceled due to the wet forecast. The Cannoneers (4-2) will return to the courts on Friday, April 7 for another joint match with the women against York College starting at 3 p.m.
