BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The Pratt Institute women's tennis team bounced back with their lone loss of the season with a 9-0 road triumph over borough foes Brooklyn College on Friday afternoon at the Roosevelt Courts.
Sophie Bischoff and Alice Li teamed up for an 8-5 victory at No. 1 doubles. Victoria Delgado and Julia Ognibene prevailed 8-2 at No. 2 pairs. Shannon Bolin and Anna Yarkin collected an 8-0 love win in the No. 3 position.
Bishoff led the singles lineup taking a 6-4, 6-0 win the top match. Arianna Castro dropped just a lone game in a 6-1, 6-0 triumph at No. 2 singles.
Ognibene and Bollin both took a set at love in a straight-set win. Ognibene won 6-0, 6-3 in the No. 3 spot and Bollin, 7-5, 6-0 in the No. 4 match.
Victoria Delgado and Alice Li secured matching 6-0, 6-0 victories at No. 5 and No. 6 singles.
Tomorrow's match at Bard College has been canceled due to the wet forecast. The Cannoneers (9-1) will return to the courts on Friday, April 7 for another joint match with the men against York College starting at 3 p.m.
