PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Pratt Institute men's and women's track and field teams traveled to the Garden State for the second straight week and competed at the Middlesex College Invitational on Saturday afternoon at Kenny Armwood Stadium.
Christina Sancho-Spore collected a top-10 finish taking ninth in the women's 1500 with a collegiate-best 5:11.00. Fernanda Alatorre nearly matched her personal best in the 1500 with a time of 5:47.71.
Ella Ambroggio bested her discus mark with a heave of 22.21m. Kayla Galvan posted a time of 21.37 in her first time competing in the hurdles.
For the men, Daniel Bhopaul ran his first sub-5:00 1500-meter of the season, clocking in at 4:55.36. David Valentine ran a near-matching time of 4:55.77. Bruce Westgate paced the pack with a time of 4:37.00.
Evan Wu posted a 3.93m in the long jump, improving on his initial leap from last week.
The 4x100 relay squad of Devaun Longley, Wu, Ian Chen and Aaron Nisbett combined for a time of 50.19.
The meet was canceled midway through due to lightning and rain.Â
Pratt will host City College of New York and Queens College in a double dual on Saturday, April 22 starting at 7:30 am at Queens College.
