KINGS POINT, N.Y. – Siena Sujitno collected silver medals in the women's 200 meter and the long jump and Bruce Westgate scored a pair of top 10 finishes to lead the Pratt Institute track and field teams at the Coach O Invitational on Sunday hosted by the United States Merchant Marine Academy. The Cannoneer women finished eighth overall while the men finished in 14th in the team scoring.
Sujitno leaped a personal-best 4.85m in her final jump in the long jump and posted a career outdoor second-best time of 28.45 in the 200-meter dash to secure 16 of Pratt's 29 points. Christina Sancho-Spore landed on the podium posting 2:33.09 in the 800-meter run, good for third.
Ava Hunwick scored fourth-place points clocking 1:08.58 in the 400-meter run. Kathleen Chen covered the 1500-meter run in 6:39.44 to finish in seventh.
Westgate registered this pair of top 10s with seventh place in the men's 1500 meter (4:29.95) and eighth place in the 800 meter (2:16.48). Thomas Perrone had the highest event placing for the men posting a career-best 400-meter time of 54.28.
Jack Phelan jumped to a seventh-place finish with a mark of 5.40m in the long jump. Daniel Bhopaul (2:31.40) and Ian Chen (58.54) both just cracked the top 10 in the men's 800 meter and 400 meter.
