JAMAICA, N.Y. — Nine different Cannoneers recorded a kill and six registered an ace as the Pratt Institute women's volleyball team earned a straight-set, 25-19, 25-12, 25-13 victory over York College in a non-conference road match on Tuesday evening.
Colleen Russell led the way with a match-high nine kills, hitting .235 with four digs. Natalie Dzadzio followed with five kills in a .500 hitting effort with three aces and one solo block. Anabela Jakelic also hit .500 while landing four kills.
Emily Sontag also put away four kills with six assists and three digs. Alison Sontag dished out nine assists with a pair of kills, a trio of aces and quartet of digs. Emma Leavey brought up 11 digs.
Cici Liu served up eight aces with two kills and three digs. Kelsy Padilla also served four aces with seven digs and two kills.
Pratt (4-8) never trailed by more than one in the match not later than the seven-point mark. The Cannoneers snapped a three-match skid with the victory.
Pratt has a day off before traveling to John Jay on Thursday, October 3 in a non-conference road match starting at 7 p.m.
