MADISON, N.J. — The Pratt Institute women's tennis team dropped just seven games in a convincing 7-0 defeat of Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham before suffering their second loss of the season, handed a 6-1 loss by host Drew University in a pair of non-conference matches on Sunday afternoon.
The Cannoneers took the top two doubles matches by a 6-1 margin with Kayla Abraham and Srishti Agarwal teaming up in the lead match and Victoria Delgado and Siya Sawhney pairing up in at second doubles.
In singles, Abraham nabbed an 8-2 win atop the lineup, while Agarwal, Sawhney, and Julia Ognibene both coasted to 8-1 triumphs in the No. 2, No. 3 and No. 5 positions. Delgado won her No. 4 singles match at love, 8-0.
In the nightcap with Drew, Abraham secured the lone point for the black-and-gold winning at No. 1 singles, 8-4, to improve to a perfect 7-0 in singles play in dual matches.
Pratt (6-2) faces Purchase College on Tuesday, October 15, for a non-conference road test starting at 4:30 p.m.
