BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The Pratt Institute women's volleyball team christened the new locker rooms and played in their first match at the Activity Resource Center of the 2024 season on Saturday. In their annual Dig Pink Game and their inaugural Atlantic East Conference match, the Cannoneers fell in straight sets to defending champion Marymount University, 25-14, 25-17, 25-14.
Colleen Russell led seven different Cannoneers to record a kill with five, while Kelsy Padilla and Alison Sontag chipped in three apiece. Emily Sontag handed out 15 assists. Emma Leavey brought up eight digs with two aces.
Marymount (4-19, 2-0) hit .315 for the match led by Harper Wolf's 12 kills. Pratt (5-12, 0-1) won the opening point off a Sontag and Anabela Jakelic block, but couldn't keep pace with the Saints.

Pratt returns to the hardwood next Saturday, October 26 for an Atlantic East tri-match at Immaculata University with Neumann University starting at 12 p.m.
